Vendorlator VMC 72 for sale?
« on: May 10, 2007, 07:06:05 PM »
I am looking to buy a unrestored or restored vendo 72.  This machine has two chutes in the front and raised letters  that says Coca Cola on the front.  Does anyone have one for sale and what would the estimated cost be?

Thank you,

Mark Dobbs

Hi, I came across your ad in the forum. I have a VMC 72 coke machine with the two chutes. It has been handed down in our family and we cannot find any info on it. Do you have any information about this machine? Your post is the only thing I have found. The machine is currently not for sale.  Any info you could share with me would be greatly appreciated.

Steven,
I do not know much about the machines other than a friend of mine had one in college and it was fun to use.
If you know of someone who wants to sell one let me know for I am interested in buying one in any condition.

Thank you,
Mark Dobbs

The VMC (Vendorlator) 72 can vend 72 bottles and precool 6 bottles. It is a manual (crank handle) machine produced from the early to mid 50's and is the smallest dual chute machine made (58"H x 25"W x 15"D). It is not known whether VMC embossed the machine in any other brand than Coca Cola, but none have shown up.
Value, as with any collectible, depends on conditon; $500-$1500
The Vendo Company bought Vendorlator in the mid-50's, yet VMC continued to produce machines under their name into the 60's. Other models include the VMC 27, VMC 33, VMC 44, VMC81, VMC 110 and others like the square cornered VMC 56. Vendo produced a lot of the same models under the Vendo name - a Vendo 44, Vendo 81, Vendo 110 and others like a square cornered Vendo 56.

Mark-
I have a VMC 72 available for sale if interested!!  Original condition, works well, could probably use a new door gasket, but thats about all it needs.  Overall very good to excellent condition!  Been in my collection for 15 plus years but ready to finally let go!!   Located in Dallas, Texas but can ship for resonable price...

If you are still looking for a vmc 72 let me know and I will send you some pictures of my machine that I plan to sell in the next 2 weeks.  Mine works, but it is rusty and noisy and needs restoring.
