Produced
by the Jacobs Company between
the 1940's and 1950's, the Jacobs 26 is a great looking vendor. The
Jacobs 26 is often refered to as the
"Mailbox" because it reseambles the old postman mailboxes. Also, unlike
the Jacobs 56, the Jacobs 26 vends its drinks using a drum - which is often missing.
If you are looking at purchasing one make sure it has the drum. If the drum is
missing don't count on finding an original one and don't beleive anyone who claims
they are easy to get. Again, they are almost never found. Most Jacobs 26 owners
end up just buying a second Jacobs 26 just for the drum. We
have been told that there is at least one company that makes a reproduction drum
but at this time I cannot confirm this info. Along
with the Jacobs 26, the Jacobs company also produce the Jacobs 56, Jacobs 50,
Jacobs 35, Jacobs 108, and Jacobs 144. Note:
