Produced
by the Jacobs Company between
from the late 1940's and early 1950's, the Jacobs 35 is identical to
the Jacobs 26 except its drum was redone to hold an additional nine bottles. The
Jacobs 35 is often refered to as the
"Mailbox" because it reseambles the old postman mailboxes. Also, unlike
the Jacobs 56, the Jacobs 35 vends its drinks using a drum - which is often missing.
If you are looking at purchasing one make sure it has the drum. If the drum is
missing don't count on finding an original one and don't beleive anyone who claims
they are easy to get. Again, they are almost never found. Most Jacobs 35 owners
end up just buying a second Jacobs 35 just for the drum. We
have been told that there is at least one company that makes a reproduction drum
but at this time I cannot confirm this info. Along
with the Jacobs 35, the Jacobs company also produce the Jacobs 56, Jacobs 50,
Jacobs 26, Jacobs 108, and Jacobs 144.
