This unique machine was found in a publication with a short description stating this is a rare vender, The unusual feature of this machine is that it required two nickels – one for the product and one for the bottle deposit. The machine returned the patron's second nickel when the bottle was replaced by dropping it into the chute located just under the bottle operner. Not confirmed by documentation, but the storage area below was to be filled with water to keep bottles from breakage when dropped in the lower portion of the machine through the return chute.
