- All of the National Refrigerators' model are built from yellow pine. The exterior lumber is V-edged flooring. Framing is contructed from 1 1/2" X 1/2" studs. Capping is made of 2 X 4's and is mortised and tenoned at the corners. The lids are two layers of 1" flooring laid across each other and screwed together.
