Jacobs Machine Timeline (1930s–1950s)

Jacobs made some of the most iconic early Coca-Cola vendors. The Model 26 (1937) is widely credited as the first upright Coca-Cola vending machine to dispense a bottle for a nickel.

The first upright Coca-Cola vending machine. 26-bottle capacity; nickel vend.

1939

Jacobs Model 35

Larger follow-up to the 26 with a 35-bottle capacity. Pre-WWII production.

1940

Jacobs Model 45

Higher-capacity (≈45 bottles) aimed at busier retail locations.

1941

Jacobs “Victory” Model

WWII-era production with simplified parts due to metal shortages.

1946

Jacobs Model 75

Post-war, large-capacity upright with rounded late-’40s styling.
